INSIDE THE THEATER
The flexible stage
The flexible stage is conceived as a box in a box. An empty space
suspended within another space, leaving a 2 meter void in all directions.
The inbetween space will serve as access and balconies for the audience,
as circulation for technicians and actors and for light/sound controls
to be put anywhere.
The entire side of the stage can open up making the skyline part of
the scenery, (and at the same time revealing the spectacle to passers
by).
Part of the roof can slide away allowing for open-air performance.
Part of the floor can slide away revealing the underlying water allowing
for boats, actors and divers to take part in the performances. |
